MM8101:

The MM8101 is a simple, robust and reliable frequency reference for Hard Disk Drives that utilize S-ATA Gen1 and Gen 2 interfaces. Powered by Mobius Microsystems’ patented CMOS Harmonic Oscillator technology, the MM8101 replaces quartz crystals and crystal oscillators. The exclusion of the quartz crystal improves reliability, eliminates crystal start-up problems, and lowers BOM cost. The proprietary, monolithic CMOS architecture simplifies system design and reduces start-up latency. The MM8101 is offered at the commonly used 25, 30, 40 and 50MHz S-ATA frequencies.
