Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

Location
Mobius maintains design centers in both Detroit, MI and Sunnyvale, CA. This position can be filled in either location. Some travel between design centers may be required.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a member of an advanced mixed-signal design team and report to the Director of Engineering. He or she will be responsible for front to back end design, revision, optimization, and verification of RF, analog, and mixed-signal CMOS integrated circuits that support and enable Mobius’ RF-TCHO clock/timing generation technology. Additionally, required efforts include working with product and test engineers to determine and implement optimal silicon characterization and production test protocols.

Key Values
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, stimulating organization and enjoy tackling the complex engineering challenges associated with mixed-signal integrated circuit design. A positive attitude, the ability to work effectively on a team, and the ability to contribute immediately to existing design efforts are critical. The successful candidate should also posses an appreciation for supporting prospects and customers.

Requirements
A B.S. in electrical engineering or equivalent and 5+ years of professional analog/mixed-signal integrated circuit design are required. An M.S. in electrical engineering is preferred. The candidate must have experience designing analog and mixed-signal CMOS integrated circuits including PLLs, oscillators (LC, RC, or ring), configurable I/O, bandgap voltage references, and/or voltage regulators. Additionally, the candidate must be familiar with how fabrication process variation impacts the performance of RF, analog, and mixed-signal integrated circuits. The candidate must also be experienced with industry standard EDA tools including the Cadence and/or Mentor Graphics design frameworks and feel comfortable operating these tools on both Linux and Solaris platforms. An understanding of noise processes in integrated circuits, including phase noise and jitter, is highly desired. Experience characterizing components with time domain and frequency domain RF measurement systems including phase noise analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and digital sampling and real-time oscilloscopes is also highly desired.
